At #2000, 87191 handles the first lapping-film stage after ordinary sanding has left marks too fine for shaping work but still visible under a developing finish. The thin backing keeps the abrasive close to the surface, making it useful on edges and flat sections without the cushioning of a sponge. It lends itself to tidying part faces and chamfered edges before moving towards a polished surface.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?
