Tamiya X-34 Metallic Brown is a 10 ml acrylic that combines a brown pigment with a metallic sheen. It is matched to the appearance of magnesium engine castings, crankcases and gearbox housings on scale kits of motorcycles and cars. The subdued metallic tone sits at the dark end of the X metallic range and reads as aged or untreated cast metal rather than polished alloy.
Colour designation X-34 Metallic Brown — for magnesium castings and aged metal surfaces.
Water-soluble acrylic resin; thinning and cleanup require only water.
Brush onto individual engine parts or spray for uniform crankcase coverage.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
