Tamiya 87125 is a pack of five disposable PET palette sheets for mixing small quantities of model paint, thinners and finishing materials. Each 0.3 mm sheet provides 15 separate wells: nine round sections for conventional paint mixing and six five-sided sections with corners that suit controlled brush loading. Individual wells can be cut from the sheet with scissors when only part of the palette is required.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
