Monument Hobbies Expert Acrylics are medium-bodied acrylic paints made from single pigments or named blends, ground to a fine consistency for miniature and model work. They sit between soft-body and heavy-body acrylics — thick enough to carry a high pigment load, fluid enough not to clog chainmail, faces and other fine detail. Each colour is identified by its CI pigment code, printed on the tube, so mixing follows the same logic as fine-art painting. They dry to a matte finish and are compatible with the fluid Pro Acryl range.
- 22 colours with pigment codes printed on every tube — from single-pigment primaries (PW 6, PBk 7, PR 254) to named multi-pigment blends (Payne's Grey, Burnt Sienna, Sepia).
- Opacity and lightfastness rated per colour: most are rated Excellent lightfastness; opacity ranges from Opaque through Semi-Opaque to Transparent.
- Can be used straight from the tube or thinned with water and Pro Acryl mediums for glazing and filtering.
- Non-toxic, conforms to ASTM D-4236. Made in the USA.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
