Product overview

KT201 Airbrush Thinner is the 210 ml full-size option for adjusting the viscosity of Kaleido Colorworks water-based airbrush paints. It uses the same formula as the 60 ml KT101 and is intended for controlled adjustment of paint flow. At the recommended 5:1 paint-to-thinner ratio, it modifies viscosity without reducing the stated coverage, adhesion or gloss.

  • Recommended mixture: five parts paint to one part thinner.
  • Optimised for airbrush nozzles of 0.3 mm or larger at 10 PSI and above.
  • The formulation is water-based, solvent-free and described as non-toxic.
  • Recommended working and storage temperature: 5–40 °C.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
