KT101 is the 60 ml Airbrush Thinner for controlled viscosity adjustment in Kaleido Colorworks water-based airbrush paints. RapidAir colours are supplied pre-thinned, so this liquid is intended for fine adjustment rather than heavy dilution. The recommended 5:1 paint-to-thinner ratio changes flow while retaining the paint’s stated coverage, adhesion and gloss.
- Recommended mixture: five parts paint to one part thinner.
- Optimised for airbrush nozzles of 0.3 mm or larger at 10 PSI and above.
- The formulation is water-based, solvent-free and described as non-toxic.
- KT101 uses the same formula as the 210 ml KT201 thinner.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
