The Custom Micron CM-C2 is the second version of Iwata's CM-C, the top of their detail line. What sets it apart is the head: each 0.23 mm head system is individually hand-matched and hand-tuned to Iwata's atomisation standard, which is what the price buys and why a replacement is sold as a tuned set, not loose parts. Made in Japan, gravity-fed and dual-action.

  • The hand-tuned 0.23 mm head gives fine, controlled atomisation for extreme detail work.
  • Runs at 12–15 psi, a lower ceiling than anything else we list, so a small compressor won't starve it.
  • Gravity-fed 7 ml cup with lid, pre-set handle with a crown-cap dock, and Iwata's 10-year extended UK warranty.
  • In the box: Iwata Lube, a pistol-grip moisture filter, a nozzle spanner and a fitted case.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
