Green Stuff World set 4788 contains five double-ended sculpting tools made from natural wood. Their ten working ends provide nine distinct tip shapes, including flat, rounded, tapered, hooked and serrated profiles. The tools are intended for shaping polymer clay, plasticine, epoxy putty and soft thermoplastic materials during modelling and conversion work. Clean the wooden ends immediately after use, before any remaining sculpting material has time to dry on the surface.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
