Basing Pigments Core Set covers the dry, dusty and weathered side of basing with colours drawn from earth, ash, rust, charcoal and lichen. It gives you a broader palette for forgotten battlefields, ancient masonry and worn urban surfaces, where several kinds of dirt and decay need to sit together rather than every area sharing the same brown.

  • You receive nine pots of dry coloured pigment.
  • Each pigment pot contains 35 ml.
  • The tenth item is a printed Complete Guide booklet.
  • No brush, diorama, miniature or base is supplied.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
