Aventus Crimson Crown

Striking dark red anodized finish

Dual-Action Gravity-Feed Airbrush · 0.2mm & 0.4mm · CNC Aluminium Body

About This Airbrush

The Aventus is Gaahleri's flagship redesigned airbrush — a premium dual-action, gravity-feed tool built for hobby painters, miniature artists, scale modellers, and Gunpla builders. The Crimson Crown variant features a striking dark red anodized finish.

It ships with two complete nozzle/needle setups (0.2mm and 0.4mm), two gravity cups (1/10 oz and 1/5 oz), and a male quick-disconnect fitting — everything you need to start spraying with a standard compressor.

The body is CNC-machined from a single block of aluminium, anodized for durability, and shaped for an ergonomic pen-like grip. The trigger, nozzle system, and air cap are all redesigned from previous Gaahleri models.

Key Features

Two airbrushes in one box — 0.2mm for ultra-fine detail and 0.4mm for basecoats, priming, and coverage. Swap nozzles instead of swapping brushes.

CNC-milled aluminium body — aerospace-grade, anodized finish. Premium feel, balanced weight, built to last.

Vortex Nozzle System — patent-pending design for finer atomisation at lower pressure. Smoother gradients, less overspray.

360° Quick-Fit Air Cap — speeds up setup and cleaning, reduces dried paint buildup around the nozzle area.

Redesigned teardrop trigger — smooth dual-action with zero-lag feel. Comfortable for long painting sessions.

Which Nozzle for What?

0.2mm — The Detail Side

Ultra-fine lines, edge highlights, panel shading, weathering, crevice washes, freehand on miniatures. Micro-detail work at low pressure with precise paint control. Best with properly thinned acrylics, inks, and glazes.

0.4mm — The Workhorse Side

Basecoats, zenithal priming, varnish, broader coverage, camo patterns, large panels. More forgiving with hobby paints, faster paint delivery, less fussy about thinning ratios. The practical daily driver.

Pro Tips

Start with the 0.4mm. If you're new to the Aventus or to airbrushing in general, the 0.4mm is more forgiving. Get comfortable, then move to the 0.2mm for detail work.

Thin your paint. No airbrush sprays anything perfectly straight from the pot. The 0.2mm nozzle in particular needs properly thinned acrylics — milk consistency is a reliable starting point for most hobby paints.

Clean the 0.2mm thoroughly. Fine nozzles clog faster if paint dries inside. Flush between colours and at the end of every session. The Quick-Fit cap makes this faster than most airbrushes, but don't skip it.

Lower pressure for fine detail. The Vortex system is designed to atomise well at lower PSI. Start around 15–20 PSI for 0.2mm detail work and increase as needed for the 0.4mm.

Label your nozzle sets. Two nozzle/needle kits means more tiny parts. Keep the spare set in a labelled case — precision parts are easier to keep organised than to replace.

Worth Knowing

0.2mm is demanding. Ultra-fine nozzles reward good technique — proper thinning, consistent pressure, clean paint. If you've never used sub-0.3mm before, expect a short learning curve. The results are worth it, but they're not instant.

Small cups by design. The 1/10 oz and 1/5 oz cups are sized for miniature and model work. If you're spraying terrain boards or large vehicles, you'll be refilling more often than with a bigger-cupped airbrush.

This is not a basic starter brush. It's a premium tool with premium features. Confident beginners who want to buy once and grow into it will do well — but if you want the cheapest entry into airbrushing, this isn't positioned for that.
