The DSPIAE TC-S01 Departure set is a starter workshop arranged in its own fitted plastic case, with shaped foam recesses in both lid and base for storage and carrying. It covers the working sequence from separating a plastic part and trimming the gate to sanding and final polishing. A single-blade nipper handles the first cut, while the abrasive selection moves from coarse clean-up through finer stages and finishes with a Siren glass polishing file.
- The “Dawning” hobby knife is accompanied by 20 spare blades.
- Straight and angled tweezers give the case distinct tip geometries.
- Sponge-backed papers follow curved surfaces, while self-adhesive sheets sit on rigid boards for flat work.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
