Product overview

This pack gives a US Marine Corps platoon its command and support, in eleven metal figures. An officer with SMG and pistol leads, a radio operator doubles as spotter, and two medical figures, a US Navy corpsman working on a wounded Marine and a medic with a stretcher, keep the men on their feet. Firepower comes from a medium mortar team and an MMG team. In the hills and jungle of the Pacific islands, from Guadalcanal and Tarawa to Peleliu and Iwo Jima, the Marines leaned on support weapons more than on tanks.
