Early Panzers Weathering Set is a three-jar blister of AK's 35 ml enamel weathering products for early German AFVs — or, as AK puts it, all those painted in Panzer Grey. The blister itself prints the set's second name, Panzer Grey Weathering Set; both are AK's own. Inside are the basic products for a near total weathering effect: a blue filter for Panzer Grey, a wash for Panzer Grey, and a streaking grime for Panzer Grey — AK says all you need to add is your favourite colours of dust and mud. All three jars are enamels, stocked by us separately as singles.

Set contains (3 × 35 ml): AK069 Streaking Grime for Panzer Grey, AK070 Brown Blue for Panzer Grey Vehicles and AK071 Blue Filter for Panzer Grey

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
