AK3009 secures small or irregular components while both hands are needed for painting, filing, engraving, sawing or shaping. Four steel pins can be moved around the aluminium head to suit the outline of the workpiece rather than holding it in one fixed position. The handle can also be detached when the head needs to be clamped into a bench vice.
Four adjustable steel pins are supplied with the holder.
The pins can also be arranged as guides for bending and forming wire.
Removing the handle allows the aluminium head to be secured in a vice for hands-free work.

Notes · Q & A
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
