The working character of AK460 comes from its wax base. Brass can be laid down by brush, fingertip or cotton swab; airbrush application is also supported once the material has been diluted with white spirit. After drying, polishing develops the metallic finish. The choice of tool allows either direct placement or sprayed coverage from the same 20 ml product.
A primed surface is recommended before applying the Brass colour.
Acrylic varnish may be used over the completed metallic layer.
For Brass, complete drying is specified at 48 hours.
AK460 is manufactured in Spain.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
