These paints can be easily mixed with each other, allowing for the hassle-free creation of smooth transitions between lights and shadows. They can be applied by brush, taking advantage of the 3rd generation high coverage and adhesion. Diluted can be airbrushed as easily as lacquer-based paints. Matte finish.
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
