AK Interactive Real Colors WWII US Navy & USMC Aircraft Late War Colors contains four lacquer paints for naval aviation schemes used from early 1943 into the post-war period. Insignia White, Intermediate Blue and Sea Blue cover the tri-colour camouflage, while Dark Sea Blue supports the simplified overall fighter finish introduced later in the war. The set is intended for US Navy and Marine Corps carrier- and shore-based aircraft.

  • Set contains (4 × 17 ml): RC891 Insignia White, RC908 Intermediate Blue, RC924 Sea Blue, RC925 Dark Sea Blue
  • Lacquer-based Real Colors with a soft matt finish, ready for weathering
  • Tri-colour camouflage plus the later overall Dark Sea Blue finish
  • Formulated for airbrush application; thin with RC701 or RC702 (or another lacquer-based thinner)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
