Matched to the American desert sand colour FS 33446, AK123 OIF & OEF US Vehicles Streaking Effects provides 35 ml of enamel dirt colour for modern American vehicles used in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is applied straight from the bottle, creating vertical staining beneath raised features before the individual lines are worked into the painted surface.

What is a model wash and when would I use one?

A wash is a very thin, highly pigmented acrylic fluid that flows into recessed detail by capillary action. Apply it over a sealed base coat to add shading around panel lines, rivets and surface texture, or use it as a full-surface filter to shift the overall tone of the model.

Do I need to seal the surface before applying a wash?
