Product overview

AK9330 packages eight microfibre-headed sticks for small-scale paint handling, weathering and maintenance work. Short fibres form a ring around each plastic handle, creating a flexible contact area that can apply or remove paint in confined spaces. Four head diameters cover different levels of access, with two sticks supplied in every size for repeated tasks across a modelling session.

  • The included diameters are 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 mm.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
