Product overview
Modern Russian armour and the vehicles of many post-Soviet armed forces are the subject of this five-piece weathering set from AK Interactive's AFV series. Three 35 ml enamels — a dark brown wash and two filters — handle colour treatment on green schemes, a 35 ml European earth pigment adds ground-in dirt, and a 17 ml 3rd Generation acrylic supplies the chipping colour. AK sells it as a single weathering package for all your modern Russian vehicle needs, and the box carries both AFV series and 3G badges. Every one of the five items is stocked by us separately.
Set contains: AK045 Dark Brown Wash for Green Vehicles (Enamel), AK11113 Chocolate (Chipping) (Acrylic), AK042 European Earth (Pigment), AK4161 Neutral Grey Filter (Enamel) and AK4162 Blue Green for Green Camo (Enamel)
Four of the five items are 35 ml; the Chocolate (Chipping) is a 17 ml 3rd Generation acrylic bottle, which is why the box carries no single volume
AK's filter text: the two enamel filters give subtle tonal variation on monotone camouflage — Neutral Grey suits very light or white surfaces such as winter tanks, spaceships, light aircraft or UN vehicles, and Blue Green shifts the base tone of green vehicles
The dark brown wash goes on with a large brush to pick out details and create shadows, and the excess lifts off with a clean brush and white spirit, per AK
All five members are stocked by us separately, so any single bottle or jar can be replaced without rebuying the box

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
