Product overview

AK9313 provides a compact, dedicated cutting surface for modelling tasks at a crowded bench. Its layered design separates the yielding working faces from the firmer central structure, giving the mat a defined surface over which parts and sheet materials can be handled. Marks from shallow cuts tend to close with time rather than remaining fully open. Turn the mat over when a different printed working pattern is more useful.

  • The A5 mat measures 228 × 140 mm and is 3 mm thick.
  • Five layers of recycled PVC form its structure.
  • Two soft exterior layers surround a hard white inner layer.
  • Each side carries a different printed pattern.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?
