AK078 Damp Earth is a 35 ml enamel weathering effect for representing moist soil on vehicles, military subjects and diorama groundwork. Its satin finish remains after drying, supporting the visual impression of damp or wet earth. Apply it as a wash for thinner deposits, or combine it with plaster when a raised, textured mud layer is required.
Shake thoroughly before use so the enamel mixture is uniform.
Work the edges with a broad flat brush moistened with AK White Spirit.
Mixing with plaster adds volume to mud deposits instead of leaving only a thin wash.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
