D.A.K. Weathering Set is a three-jar blister of AK's 35 ml enamel weathering products for German vehicles based in North Africa. Two AK names belong to this set: the blister prints D.A.K. Weathering Set, while AK's website calls it the Afrika Korps Weathering Set — same three jars inside. AK gives the modeller everything needed for basic weathering of DAK vehicles — a filter, a wash and a streaking grime — and notes the set is perfectly usable on Allied vehicles or even more modern examples. All three jars are enamels, stocked by us separately as singles.

Set contains (3 × 35 ml): AK065 Filter for Afrika Korps Vehicles, AK066 Afrika Korps Wash and AK067 Streaking Grime for Dak Vehicles
AK on the filter: it "allows us to subtly change the base tone of our DAK vehicles, turning it into a more accurate and authentic colour", and is also suitable for modern vehicles in sand and light shades
AK on the wash: "The excess of the wash can be easily removed with a clean brush and White Spirit."

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
