Product overview

Brown is the supplied colour of AK8062, a Type 2 mimetic net made for modern 1:35 vehicle models. Its single 160 × 230 mm cloth piece can be divided to suit the required coverage, arranged loosely across a hull or turret, or folded around stowage. The existing brown finish allows immediate placement without a separate colouring stage, although AK also permits further adjustment with suitable model paints.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
