Product overview

AK Interactive Basing Bits is a 35-set range of 3D-printed resin accessories sized for 28–32 mm miniatures. The individual packs supply small details for bases, dioramas and tabletop scenery, covering nature and vegetation, scenery and ruins, darker remains and battlefield debris, plus dynamic fantasy and sci-fi effects. Each variant contains a themed selection rather than a general assortment, allowing the added details to follow the setting of the miniature or scene.

Piece counts vary by set, ranging from 12 to 72 parts.
The accessories are supplied as unpainted grey resin, ready for priming and painting in the required colour scheme.
Attach the parts with cyanoacrylate or two-component epoxy adhesive.
Standard polystyrene cement does not bond the resin material.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
