AK9559 brings eleven basic bench tools into one modelling set: cutting, trimming, gripping, filing and sanding are all represented. It is intended for routine kit preparation and detail work, from freeing components from sprues to cleaning flash, handling small parts and refining surfaces. The contents are individually identified on the back of the box, so the included tool and abrasive types are clearly specified.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
