The Dust Effects and White Spirit Set is a three-jar blister of AK enamels — not acrylics — for dusting down vehicles in arid, dry-country settings, the Afrika Korps look most of all, though it suits British and modern subjects too. It pairs two ready dust colours with the solvent that works them, so you can lay dust on and then thin, blend and fade it back from one kit.

AK022 Africa Dust: a light tan for dusty accumulations, brushed or airbrushed on and softened with a clean brush.
AK015 Dust Effects: a natural dust tone for wheels, tracks and hull; shake well, and mix with plaster for raised volume.
AK011 White Spirit: the enamel solvent for thinning, blending and lifting the two colours.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
