Abteilung 502 Faded Flesh is an artist oil paint from AK Interactive's ABT 502 oils, part of the flesh set. AK describes it as a pale, faded skin tone used as a base or to shift the tone of a complexion during figure painting — the kind of colour you mix into others to knock a skin tone back or add variation, an effect that matters more as figures get larger. Unusually for a flesh colour, AK also lists it for making filters on vehicles, where a thin oil coat subtly modifies a base colour. As an oil it blends wet-on-wet and thins with white spirit.
