Tamiya 1/48 Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat 61034

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American fighter in 1:48 scale.

At the very beginning of the war in the Pacific, it turned out that it was not battleships but aircraft carriers that were crucial to the outcome of the fighting in the Far East. Planes starting from the decks inflicted the most severe losses to the enemy fleet. A very important role was played by onboard fighter aircraft, which provided cover their own ships and the bombers and torpedo squadrons attacking the enemy. The basic carrier-based fighter of US Navy in the early stages of fighting with the Japanese aircraft was the Grumman F4F-4. It was a strong and well-armed construction that could be evenly measured with Japanese Zeros.

Tamiya plastic model kit allows assembly of the American Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat fighter. Box includes two sprues with parts, sprue with transparent elements (deflectors, visors, lamps) and decals (allows reconstruction of planes from either the Navy or Marine Corps).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
