AK’s Grass Flocks range provides loose nylon-type fibres for building short grass across dioramas, figure bases and gaming terrain. Every 250 ml pot contains 2 mm flock, a size recommended for 25–35 mm subjects and larger scales. Five seasonal tones cover Spring through Dry conditions, and the loose format allows colours to be mixed before fixing where varied ground cover is required.
Variants: AK8219 Spring, AK8220 Summer, AK8221 Early Fall, AK8222 Late Fall and AK8223 Dry.
Apply a mixture of PVA glue and water to the surface before sprinkling the flock into place.
Once dry, the grass can be airbrushed or treated with enamel and oil washes.
Colour tone may vary between manufacturing batches.

Notes · Q & A
What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?+
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?+
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?+
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
