Scale75 ScaleColor Black Leather (SC-32) is a 17 ml water-based acrylic for miniature painting, supplied with the range’s characteristic super-matte finish. It can be worked into smooth, translucent glazes or built into a fully opaque layer, giving the painter control over coverage. ScaleColor is especially distinct for its exceptionally dead-flat surface, widely reviewed as the mattest finish available in miniature paint. Apply Black Leather by brush or airbrush according to the required layer.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
