WWII RAF Day Fighter Scheme is a four-bottle set of 3rd Generation acrylics for the scheme RAF Fighter Command adopted in August 1941 — AK dates it in use until 1947, in practice even until the end of the 1940s. AK assigns each colour its role: Dark Green and Ocean Grey upper surfaces, Medium Sea Grey undersides, and Sky for tail bands and propeller spinners. The scheme was also carried by Mosquito bomber variants, and Dark Green with Medium Sea Grey served RAF night fighters from the autumn of 1942 until the early 1950s. Note that all four colours are already inside the eight-bottle master box, AK11723 WWII RAF Aircraft Colors.

- Acrylic colours for brush; for airbrush, dilute with water or AK11500 thinner

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
