AK Interactive Real Colors Markers Chipping Set contains three acrylic paint markers for chipped paint, exposed metal and damaged-surface effects on vehicles and other model subjects. Aluminium and Dark Aluminium provide two metallic wear tones, while Chipping Color supplies the darker base shade used for scratches and paint loss. The pen-style applicator is suited to controlled edge wear, small chips and local touch-ups without preparing paint in a palette or airbrush.

  • Set contains (3 markers): RCM010 Aluminium (metallic), RCM011 Dark Aluminium (metallic), RCM013 Chipping Color
  • Fast-drying acrylic paint markers, waterproof once dry
  • Adhere to plastic, resin, metal and wood; can be applied in layers
  • Aluminium and Dark Aluminium are metallic; the markers are otherwise matte (some pigments slightly satin)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
