Tamiya 1/35 Pz.Iv Ausf.J Sd Kfz.161/2 Model Kit 35181
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German medium tank in 1:35 scale.
The best variant of the Panzer IV tank was the Ausf. H version, but material shortages and large losses on the fronts, forced German engineers to make some changes. Construction and manufacturing process of Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. J had to be simplified, due to the very high demand for armored equipment. The main arming remained virtually unchanged, it was KwK 43 L/48 cal. 75 mm cannon, equipped with a new fire silencer. Additional equipment, which has accounted for two MG 34 were extended by anti-personnel and smoke grenade launchers. Electric motor mechanism of the tower rotation was abandoned, and the additional fuel tank was installed instead, greatly extending the range of the vehicle. The armor of the tank was no longer covered with Zimmeritt, Schürzens were replaced with a mesh made and then all of them were abandoned. By the end of the war 3,000, Panzer IV J were produced.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the German Panzer IV medium tank Ausf.J Sd.Kfz.161/2, together with the commander. Box includes part of the hull, 5 sprues with model parts, string, rubber tracks, and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
