Tamiya 1/35 M8 Carriage With 3 Figures 35312
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American self propelled gun in 1:35 scale.
With the development of US armored forces in the early 40s, there was a need to create a vehicle for close support. The original project of howitzer installation in half-track was rejected, because of the very weak armor and capabilities to overcome the terrain. So constructors adapted successful construction of Stuart light tank. The tank was equipped with a larger, open turret with 75 mm howitzer. Defensive armament was 0.5’ Browning M2HB HMG, installed at the rear of the turret. This has provided Americans a fast and very agile self-propelled howitzer, which task was to combat infantry and enemy positions.
Tamiya plastic model kits allow assembly of American M8self-propelled Howitzer Motor Carriage, along with three crew members. Box includes 2 pieces of hull, 5 sprues, rubber tracks, and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
