Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanzer Iv Lang 35340

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German tank destroyer in 1:35 scale.

One of the greatest difficulties encountered by Germany in the early stage of operations on the eastern front were Soviet heavy tanks KV. There has emerged a need to construct a tank destroyer with a closed combat compartment, able to fight with the Russian giants. The immediate solution to the problem was the installation of tank version of the PaK 39 cannon in the Stug assault guns, it seemed, however, this was insufficient. In late 1942, work began on a new tank destroyer, based on the chassis of the Panzer IV. Thus was born the Jagdpanzer IV. With the introduction to the service, the work continued on mounting the more powerful gun. They resulted in the creation of Lang version, armed with a better anti-tank gun- PaK 42 L/70. Vehicles were produced in two factories, Vomag (version V) and Alkett (version A). Jagdpanzers were able to penetrate sloping 124 mm armor at a distance of 500m, which was a very good result. Vehicles fought on the Eastern Front, in Italy, and in Western Europe.

Tamiya kit allows assembly of a German tank destroyer of World War II Jagdpanzer IV / 70 (V) Lang (Sd.Kfz 152/1) with two crew members. The box contains 2 parts of the hull, 4 sprues and model elements, rubber tracks and decals (allow reconstruction of the vehicle with 655 Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
