Tamiya 1/35 German Marder III 35248
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German tank destroyer in 1:35 scale.
After an introduction of new types of tanks by the Soviets, Wehrmacht faced a serious problem of lacking anti-tank weapons capable of penetrating their armor. Availability of a new Pa 40 anti-tank gun was limited, whats more, it was a towed gun. Therefore it was decided to create a tank destroyer using captured Soviet 76.2 mm guns and the Czech tank chassis of Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t). Czech tanks deprived of turrets were equipped with an open topped platform for the crew. Gun itself was mounted on armored plate protecting the men from the front. Vehicle proved itself in heavy fights of eastern fronts, therefore next versions were approved and build, this time with German PaK 40/3 guns.
Tamiya plastic model kit allows assembly of Marder III tank destroyer in its original form with Pak36 (r) gun and two crew members. Box includes 5 sprues with parts, rubber tracks, and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles from either 7th, 15th, or 19th Panzer Divisions).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
Paints recommended by the manufacturer for best results:
