Tamiya 1/35 British Churchill VII Model Kit 35210
The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British heavy tank in 1:35 scale.
British military commanders of the interwar period were convinced that the upcoming conflict will look similar to the Great War. Design work was conducted on a successor of Matilda and Valentine infantry tanks, which was supposed to be strongly armored, have the ability to overcome barbed wire, craters, and trenches, and its goal would be to eliminate the fortified positions of the enemy. These plans, however, were quickly and brutally verified by reality, along with the defeat of France and the loss of huge amounts of equipment by the British Expeditionary Force at Dunkirk. The recommended vehicle has been reduced, and immediately directed to the production, due to the huge demand of armored troops. In 1941, assembly line rolled off the first heavy infantry tanks named Churchill. Despite the fact that it proved to be good, they were not deprived of a number of design errors and deficiencies. Their baptism of fire in the descent at Dieppe was a disaster, however, Churchill continued to be developed. The target and the most refined tank series was Mk. VII from 1944, with a revised and more heavily armored hull and armed with a 75 mm cannon. 1,600 tanks of this type were built, and all previous versions have been modified in real time to match its standards. Churchills fought in North Africa, Western Europe, Italy and under the lend-lease agreement on the eastern front.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the British heavy infantry tank Churchill Mk. VII model and three crew members. In addition, Box includes a farmer with the trolley, the officer of armored and infantry forces, which can be used to construct dioramas. The kit includes 2 hull pieces, 5 sprues with model parts, sprue with transparent elements, rubber tracks, and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles from the 6. Guards Tank Brigade, 31. or 34. Tank Brigade).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
