Tamiya 1/35 Scale 88mm Gun Flak 36/37 Model Kit 35017

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German anti-tank gun in 1:35 scale.

The genesis of the most famous gun of World War II should be found during the Great War when the anti-aircraft guns appeared. After the defeat in the war and the limitations of the Treaty of Versailles imposed on Germany, work on this weapons was very limited. However, already in 1933 after the Nazi party came to power, production of modernized FlaK 18 was resumed. They took part in the civil war in Spain, where they had their first serious combat experience. In 1936 another version appeared, FlaK 36, with a modified bed, a barrel and a carousel, and equipped with a panzer shield for the crew protection. The gun was able to shoot ground targets, which proved to be phenomenal thanks to the excellent muzzle velocity. One year later, another modernization was launched, dedicated strictly for anti-aircraft batteries, fire control system from the battery command post (guiding all departments with one). The modified hun was called FlaK 37. The applied system allows the capability destroying ground targets too.

The Tamiya kit includes parts that allow you to build German 8.8 cm FlaK 36 or 37 anti-aircraft gun model with eight crews, ammunition boxes, binoculars on a stand and the Zündapp motorbike with the driver. The box contains 5 frames with plastic elements, vinyl cables, fixing screws and decals. They allow the reconstruction of the Eastern Front (3rd, 4th, 5th, 24th Armored Division, Grossdeutschland Division), Italy (Hermann Göring Division), Normandy (1st, 9th, 12th SS Panzer Division) or North Africa (2nd or 15th Panzer Division).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
