Tamiya 1/35 Scale Russian T-62A Tank Model Kit 35108

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Russian main battle tank in 1:35 scale.

In the late 1950s, Soviet engineers began work on a successor to the T-55 tank. Work was completed in 1963 and the project was put into production almost immediately. Only during field tests it turned out that the new vehicle performs on average. The drive unit did not meet the requirements, it was too weak for the new tank. This resulted in a decrease in speed and maneuverability compared to the older T-55. The newly used 115mm gun also did not perform well due to its low rate of fire. Despite this, new tanks were delivered to units, and production was also started in Czechoslovakia. T-62 tanks joined the ranks of several countries in the world, primarily the USSR and Arab countries in the Middle East. About 20,000 vehicles of this type were produced, and they were withdrawn from production in 1978, three years before its predecessor, the T-55.

The Tamiya kit allows you to assemble and assemble the Soviet T-62A main battle tank, along with the commander. The box contains 2 hull elements, a turret element, 3 sprues, rubber tracks and decals.

Plastic elements should be cut out of the frames, matched and glued in accordance with the attached assembly instructions. After gluing, paint with modeling paints. Please note that some elements require painting before gluing. Then, apply the decals included in the set in accordance with the markings or graphics.
