Tamiya X-18 Semi Gloss Black is a 10 ml acrylic with a semi-gloss finish, sitting between the full gloss of the other X-series colours and the flat tones of the XF range. Where a full gloss black would catch too much light and a flat black would appear lifeless, this intermediate sheen produces a more natural surface on tyres, rubber parts and dark-toned components.

Water-soluble acrylic resin base; thins and cleans up with water.
Apply by brush or thin for airbrush coverage.
Bonds to styrene resin, styrofoam, wood and standard model plastics.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
