Product overview
Scale75 Inktense Oxide is a transparent acrylic ink for building oxide and rust-toned glazes on painted miniatures and models. Its high pigment concentration modifies or strengthens the colour underneath without completely covering earlier layers, allowing existing highlights and surface detail to show through. This translucent behaviour separates it from ordinary opaque acrylic paint used for basecoating. The ink has a satin finish and is suitable for controlled application by brush or airbrush.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
