KRMA026 contains natural basing sand in the 1–1.5 mm range. At this grade, individual grains register as small stones, making it suited to rocky deserts, rough ground and localised patches of added texture around a miniature. The material can be used in its natural desert-compatible colour or painted as part of a wider groundwork scheme.
A pot contains no less than 150 g of coarse material.
Individual grains can sometimes fall above the stated size range.
Apply over PVA glue or secure with Kromlech Super Glues.
The sand comes in a rigid plastic container closed by a twist-off lid.

Notes · Q & A
What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?+
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?+
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?+
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
