The CR3 gives you the Revolution BR's soft, low-pressure atomisation with a much bigger cup: 7ml with a lid, the size Iwata's users favour for mixing colours in the cup, and easy to clean out afterwards. Paint feeds by gravity through a 0.3mm R3 nozzle and the trigger is dual-action; it is meant for general spraying on a medium scale, from a fine line to about 38mm. The handle is the Revolution comfort shape and the recommended pressure is 20–30 psi. Inside, the needle is spring steel and the packings are solvent-resistant PTFE, and the box holds Iwata Lube and a nozzle spanner.

Notes · Q & A
What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?+
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?+
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?+
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
