The Hobby Heaven Series 1 is our own brand Kolinsky sable brush designed for miniature detail work. We developed this range because we wanted to offer genuine Kolinsky quality at an honest price — brushes we are happy to recommend to our customers because we selected the hair, tested the prototypes, and use them ourselves.
Series 1 is our detail-focused line, with proportions and sizing optimised for miniature painting at 28-32mm scale. The Kolinsky sable provides excellent point retention and controlled flow for painting eyes, highlights, fine freehand, and all the detail work that makes painted miniatures come alive. Handpicked quality, tested by miniature painters, sold at honest prices.

- Tuft Length
- The visible length of the brush hairs, measured from the ferrule to the tip.
- Belly Diameter
- The widest point of the brush head. On round brushes, this is the widest part of the belly.
- Total Length
- The full measurement from the tip of the brush to the end of the handle.
How to care for your brush
Same care as any Kolinsky sable: rinse after use, clean with brush soap, reshape, store protected. We recommend Masters brush soap for conditioning. Proper care gives years of reliable performance.
