Product overview
AK6582 turns a flat area of groundwork into fine-textured water without requiring the surface pattern to be built by hand. The transparent acrylic sheet carries a dense, even micro-ripple across its full 245 × 195 mm area. Because the texture has no directional flow, it suits still expanses such as ponds, wet ground and sheltered water, while the clear base leaves the final colour treatment to the modeller. One sheet is supplied per pack.
- The fine pattern consists of small, closely packed micro-ripples.
- The official imperial dimensions are 9.64 × 7.68 inches.
- Washes and drybrushing can define the moulded relief, followed by a gloss coat for a wet appearance.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
