NATO Weathering Set is a three-jar blister of AK's 35 ml enamel weathering products for modern armour — AK designed it for any vehicle painted in the three classic NATO colours, brown, green and black, and the products were designed for and tested on NATO vehicles. The trio lets the modeller add washes, filters and rain marks: a wash for NATO camouflage vehicles, a filter for NATO tanks, and rain marks for NATO tanks. All three jars are enamels, and all three are stocked by us separately as singles.

Set contains (3 × 35 ml): AK074 Rainmarks for NATO Tanks, AK075 Wash for NATO camo vehicles and AK076 Filter for NATO Tanks
AK on the filter: it is "suitable for Nato vehicles and any green vehicle in general or as a component of your camouflage", and adds depth before the next painting steps
AK on the filters: "These enamel-based filters can be cleaned or diluted with White Spirit."

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
