Iron Effect supplies the reactive metal layer in a two-product rust system. This acrylic paint contains iron microparticles rather than relying on a conventional rust colour alone. When AK11268 Oxidizing Agent reaches the painted surface, those particles oxidise naturally and create the rust effect. The paint is therefore intended to work with the catalyst, not as a complete oxidation finish by itself.
Container volume is 35 ml.
AK11268 Oxidizing Agent is required to activate the effect.
The same catalyst also works with AK11267 Bronze Effect.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
