This isn't a basic painting handle — it's a precision painting station for individual parts and sub-assemblies. Where the AK9563/9564 handles hold entire models on bases, the AK9565 is built for the fiddly bits: heads, weapons, arms, shields, banners, and any small component you want to paint separately before assembly.
Three features work together: a 360° rotating base with textured platform and multiple pin holes, a removable arch-shaped finger rest that stabilises your painting hand (reducing tremor for fine detail work), and a dual mounting system — clip-top holding pins for pinned parts, and reusable adhesive pads for flat or irregular pieces.
If you paint sub-assemblies, do eyes, freehand, or edge highlighting on separate pieces before gluing — this is the tool designed specifically for that workflow.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
