Product overview

AK8052 is a single fine-grained cork sheet measuring 200 × 290 mm and 6 mm thick. Its substantial depth makes it useful as raw scenic material for cliffs, embankments, raised groundwork and layered terrain. The sheet can be divided into shaped sections, while exposed faces may be worked to remove straight manufactured edges and introduce an irregular profile. It can also form the underlying mass of a feature before further texture and colour are applied.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
